When the knee isn’t really a knee problem

When the knee isn’t really a knee problem.

The knee is typically not really the issue when your looking at knee problems. This is because the knee is sandwiched between the hip and the foot. Many times knee issues are really hip weakness issues and foot mobility and stability issues. If the foot can not hit the ground like it should that will affect how the knee can absorb force. If the hips are weak if will affect how much work the knee needs to do to create stability. Knee issues can also be a pelvic floor issue. Weak pelvic floor will cause the hip and knee to have to shift and maintain stability and not in the correct positions.

The knee can also be related to the kidneys. The kidney rules the knees. Many people today have lost the ability of the kidneys to properly filter their lymphatic system. When body fluids and lymph become stagnant, cellular waste and acidity can build up in the body.

Adrenal Fatigue is a Common Pattern of Kidney System Imbalance

The HPA Axis is a delicate relationship within the endocrine system. (HPA = Hypothalamus, Pituitary, Adrenals) Any imbalance between the Hypothalamus, Pituitary, and the Adrenals spells trouble. The pattern is usually linked to Kidney Yang (sympathetic nervous system) imbalance, as well as fear and/or stress in the endocrine glands. Kidney Consciousness Issues:

Willpower, Fear, Anxiety, Wisdom, Caution, Energy, Vitality, Clarity, Memory, Self Worth, Belonging, Trust, Paranoia, Sensuality, Sexuality, Courage, Drive

The Kidney System Rules Much More than the Kidney.

It also regulates the Bladder, Adrenals, Ears, Teeth, Brain & Nervous System, Hair & Graying hair, Bones, Spine, Bone Marrow, Knees, Urethra, Anus, Sexuality, Procreative organs, Jing or ancestral Qi, and Wei Qi.

Common Patterns of Kidney Imbalance

Lower back pain, joint and knee pain, fatigue, low libido, impotence or frigidity, poor hearing, fear in pit of stomach, laziness, antisocial behavior, frequent or night-time urination, incontinence, overwork, low appetite, poor diet, dizziness, shortness of breath, shallow or rapid breathing, exhaustion from long disease, cold limbs, edema, weak bones, poor memory, loss of hair, sexual dysfunction, nocturnal emissions, sore back, long-standing fear, worry and anxiety, nervous tension, bone marrow problems, stem cell disturbance, poor bone growth.

From a somatic standpoint, the knee is also “stuck” between 2 places. This is also a place where there are past life reminders. This can also represent unresolved emotional stuff and lack of support. It can also be a way to slow us down and take stock of our lives. Water in the knee indicates a holding of emotional energy, particularly a resistance to surrender, or there may be too much emotion to cope with and the weight is being carried in the knees.

An inflamed knee indicates that something or someone is making you feel irritated or angry, and you will not give in.

A dislocated knee shows a resistance to giving way. The knee can no longer take the pressure so it collapses and you are unable to maintain your standing. To dislocate is to lose. KNEES, like the neck, have to do with flexibility; only they express bending and pride, ego and stubbornness. Often when moving forward, we are fearful of bending and we become inflexible. This stiffens the joints. We want to move forward, but we do not want to change our ways. This is why knees take so long to heal; our ego is involved. The knees take a long time because we get our pride and our self-righteousness involved.
