Why you may be sensitive to detox

Finding the Weak Links in Detox Pathways

Because there are weak links in the chain of reactions in the continuous flow of toxins out of:
1. Cells
2. Organs
Improving one or a few links at a time can overload the other steps in the detox process that have not had capabilities increased in unison.

What you are doing might be working, or would work if done in a different order with the weakest links addressed first to avoid the bottlenecks or kinks in the hose where pressure builds up.
You must know what the whole detox system looks like and what to address.
First, what are the symptoms of weak links in the detox process?
--Reactions like feeling less energy.
--Brain fog: toxins remaining in your blood going to your brain, rather than being filtered out through the liver or kidneys.
--Insomnia: waking up in the middle of the night or sleep problems in general can be related to toxicity in the brain or liver/gallbladder irritation. In Chinese medicine diagnosis sleep can be a liver GB problem.
--Constipation: toxicity not moving out that can back up into your lymph system and muscles as it seeks a way out through the skin, even though it might not make it out.
---Diarrhea: toxicity not bound to something can be irritating and trigger bowell flushes.
---Skin rashes.
Too many toxins moving out of the skin instead of the main channel of the liver dumping to the bowels. Some detoxification through the skin is inevitable if it’s the shortest route out, but you want to minimize it so your face is not breaking out all the time or are itching uncomfortably.
--Inflammation, like back pain that can be kidney’s overloaded on top of a spinal hip alignment problem that can make that a weak point.
--Health is getting worse as you mobilize toxins that then redistribute to more vulnerable areas because they ran into bottle-necks and get stuck.
This is a systems problem, not a problem of finding the perfect binder that does not let go of the toxins as a way of preventing redistribution.

The levels of the system are:
Every cell of your body because cells have detox systems. (Inside or intra cellular)
Organs that all relate as s system—this is more easy to visualize as a “drainage system.” (Extracellular or cellular matrix the liquids of lymph, blood, bile, feces, urine that move it out.)

Nutrition for Every Cell
I always begin nutrients for every cell in the body, including cells that facilitate drainage / excretion. Energizing cells boosts all organs and functions like detoxification in a mild way that needs to be done by the body itself in the long run. This usually begins with potassium, sodium, magnesium and sunlight.

1. The Right Diet for the Individual
2. Check for all deficiencies, excesses and allergies in the categories of: protein, fats, carbs, minerals, vitamins, probiotics, sunlight, etc.
3 Extra Detox Nutrients:
selenium, zinc, iodine, silica; b12 and folate, etc., are important to detoxification and energize the body at the same time so you are more likely to tolerate detox as you are working with the body. Not necessarily in a supplements, food first when possible.
Detox is a bodily function of normal cell functioning, not just an external medical procedure.
The nutritional approach is gentle, whereas aggressive cellular detox is often done best after extracellular detox and organ “drainage” is going smoothly, and will start to occur naturally. Drain the extracellular swamp and focus on organs.

Bowels and Constipation
At the extracellular and organ level starting with exist is logical so things are not backed up, as in the case of constipation.
One of the main remedies for constipation is magnesium, which works because it is irritating the gut and NOT being absorbed. So you need another form of magnesium if you are magnesium deficient because you only partially absorb that one.
Short term remedies are OK but root causes further up stream need to be addressed at bile flow.

Diarrhea And Binders
Relieving diarrhea is necessary so you can hold onto your nutrients longer for digestion and basic nutrition.
Some kind of binder can stop diarrhea and recirculation of toxins especially if you have leaky gut. There are many possibilities: clay, charcoal, zeolite, pectin, etc. to find one or a few that are individually compatible.

Bile Flow
A key root cause irregularity is lack of bile flow that stimulate bile flow and also helps kill pathogens that create diarrhea.
Bile from the liver exists into the hepatic duct and through the gallbladder into the upper small intestine.
Bile is needed to digest fat and excrete toxins. When bile flow is weak toxins can flow back into the blood from the liver to create detox sensitivity.

Detox Pathways
Detox pathways in the liver that are increased while not increasing bile flow can result in detox reactions and distribution back into the blood. These detox pathways also occur in every cell but are more concentrated in the liver.
This is not a chemistry lesson but a list of points to cover in practice, with only a few interesting notes and not an attempt to fully define each one.

The objective is to get all the nutrients to feed these pathways. BUT many people need a minimum level of understanding or they won’t do it. I stick to minimum for brain fogged and chronic fatigue people.
I focus on what you need, not always why because there are too many whys: in terms of the dozens of beneficiary chemical reactions and symptoms that are solved by intervening at root cause level, that is why. This is not A to B, “What do I take for my X?” “this for that.” It cannot become that simplistic without trivializing everything.
The Glutathione Antioxidant pathway is considered the major one that actually works with other antioxidants to recycle each other

Glutathione, C, E, CoQ10, and alpha lipoic acid (ALA) are the “anti-oxidant network” that help utilize each other. There are experts that focus on each in a specialized manner whether it is C, glutathione, or ALA, that have trouble optimizing each alone outside the system in which they operate.

You don’t necessary need to take all of these nutrients as supplements or in foods-- that should be individually tested. ALA is especially difficult to supplement with and not advised for all.
Glucaronidation is another pathway to detox chemicals, such as hormones, but not just hormones.
Sulfation. Sulfur, sulphate compounds and the miraculous sulforophane. A direct source of sulphates is Epsom salts. MSM sulfur also builds this pathway.
Sufloxidation involves molybdenum to convert sulfites into useful sulfates
Acetylation requires B5 and C, just an illustration of how if you focus on basic nutrients the complex chemistry is addressed, you don’t have to see everything in a lab report.
Methylation
B12, folates, TMG, you don’t necessarily need to take all these supplements, and the Methylation SNPs lab interpretation and prescriptions are overrated. They just jump to that without evaluating the other pathways and not knowing how to use supplements or foods and have damaged some people.
Amino Acid Conjugation
Meat protein sources are important for detox despite the ideology of fruits and vegetables are for “cleansing.”

Nfr 2. Is a regulatory mechanism to coordinate detox processes cross three phases of liver detox that lead to excretion the bile.

Melatonin pathway
Some say melatonin is more important than glutathione as an antioxidant. Both are found in every cell. Melatonin does not concentrate in the liver like glutathione does. Melatonin that is utilizable is primarily produced when stimulated by natural light in the eyes. Sun exposure first thing in the morning sets up melatonin production and all of circadian rhythm that affect all bio chemical physics processes. Supplementing too much may shut down and dysregulate melatonin production, and, in any case, is no substitute for living with the timing of sunlight.

Planning Solutions

A system is only as good as it’s weakest links. So we have to define the major part of systems to help understand what parts need to be increased or cleared.
It’s mostly because you have weak links in the systems of detoxification, not just because you are sensitive to the supplement itself, although many supplements are toxic or at the wrong dose.
In order for each part of a detoxification and health plan to work you need:
1. Quality foods and supplements
2. Quantities that are correct
3. Completeness: address all weak links
4. Order of Implementation: some things have to come first or simultaneously because they are cofactors to utilize or tolerate another nutrient, otherwise you might be allergic to that nutrient, like sodium when you lack potassium.
To get this right I rely on interpretation of symptoms, labs when available, and most of all energetic testing so ascertain what your body wants as a solution.
